Job summary

Brookdale in Overland Park, KS, seeks an experienced RN supervisor to lead resident assessments and care planning in a long-term care setting. The role requires coordinating MDS processes, ensuring timely data transmission, and guiding assessment teams to maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines.

The position includes benefits eligibility for both part-time and full-time staff, with a base pay framework determined by skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care community, or other related health care facility.
• Must have a minimum of six (6) months training experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for conducting and coordinating the development and completion of resident assessments, in accordance with the requirements of State, Federal and Company guidelines.
• Oversee the generation of Minimum Data Set (MDS) for each Medicare patient and electronic transmission within the mandated timeline.
• Coordinate development of written care plans with measurable objectives and timetables.
• Develop and maintain policies governing MDS and care plans; provide training and updates as needed.
• Develop and participate in planning, conducting, and scheduling timely in-service training for assessment skills and MDS processes.
