Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Maternal Newborn – Couplet Care on a part-time rotating schedule, delivering care in the 27-bed unit with 24 hours per week and weekend/holiday requirements.

Requirements include an Associate degree or Nursing Diploma, RN licensure, and BCLS/NRP/CPI certifications; BSN preferred. Experience in Mother/Baby/Couplet Care strongly preferred, with emphasis on confidentiality and fast-paced teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN is preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required.
• One-year RN experience or completion of RN residency is required.
• One year or more Mother/Baby, Couplet Care RN experience strongly preferred.
• BCLS certification required.
• NRP within 90 days required.
• CPI training maintained annually; 90 days required.
• Demonstrate confidentiality and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control into patient care.
• Initiates information sharing with patients and families.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift and during transfers.
