Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Charge RN II for the Maternal/Newborn unit in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time role requires leadership in a busy, mother-friendly and Magnet-designated facility with self-scheduling and strong professional development opportunities.

Candidates must have an RN license, an accredited nursing degree or diploma, and at least 1 year of RN experience in acute care; 2 years in Mother/Baby preferred. BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN – Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
• RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required.
• One-year experience as an RN in an acute care setting required.
• 2-years’ experience as an RN in an acute care setting preferred.
• 2-years current Mother/Baby RN experience strongly preferred.
• BCLS and NRP required before providing independent patient care.
• CPI training maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team.
• Support and actively participate in shared governance/councils.
• Develop individual knowledge and skills and engage in lifelong learning/development.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Directly assist leadership on a unit or shift, ensuring a clean and safe environment and completing operational tasks.
