Job summary

Texas Health Fort Worth’s Women’s Center is seeking a Charge RN in the Maternal/Newborn unit for PRN coverage. The role supports couplet care for mom and baby, with breastfeeding education and family-centered care in a Magnet, Level IV facility.

Work hours are 6:45 PM–7:15 AM, weekends and holidays required, across a 27-bed unit with strong leadership and growth opportunities. Self-scheduling and active engagement with Unit-Based Council are highlighted, offering opportunities for educational

Qualifications

• PRN, on an as needed basis (evenings)
• Experience in maternal/newborn nursing is valued
• Care for both mom and baby (Couplet Care) and provide breastfeeding support

Responsibilities

• Provide couplet care for mother and newborn
• Deliver breastfeeding education/resources to families
• Participate in unit-based council initiatives and self-scheduling
• Support a 27-bed Maternal/Newborn unit and high-quality patient care

The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, has been named “Best Place to Have a Baby” and Maternal Level IV designated facility

Work hours: PRN, On an as needed basis, 6:45PM-7:15AM with weekend and holiday coverage

Maternal/Newborn, Couplet Care Department highlights:

• Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
• Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
• 27-bed Maternal/Newborn unit
• Average between 275 to 300 deliveries per month
• Utilize the following skills: Breastfeeding education/resources, responsible for both mom and baby (Couplet Care)
