Job summary

Essentia Virginia Hospital in the Birthplace unit seeks a registered nurse to organize and provide nursing care using the nursing process across assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. You will delegate tasks to other nursing staff in accordance with licensure and job descriptions, contributing to the facility's mission and Joint Commission standards.

The ideal candidate holds MN RN licensure with a BSN or ADN, BCLS and NRP within specified timelines, and may have 1+ year of Labor and

Qualifications

• Minnesota nursing licensure required.
• BCLS certification within one month of start date.
• NRP certification within one year of hire.
• Labor and Delivery experience preferred: 1+ year.

Job Description:

Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Education Qualifications:

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

This position will work the following:

• 48 hours per pay period

• Every Third Weekend

• Rotating 12 Hour Shifts

• Day Shift: 7:00AM - 7:30PM

• Overnight Shift: 7:00PM - 7:30AM

• Block 72A

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 (ADN) and up to $10,000 (BSN)

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within one year

• Preferred: At least one year of Labor and Delivery Experience
