Job summary

Essentia Health’s Birthplace unit at Virginia Hospital is seeking a Labor & Delivery nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient needs, while coordinating with the care team to optimize outcomes. The role includes rotating day and night shifts and every third weekend.

Eligible candidates may receive a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 for ADN and up to $10,000 for BSN, with Minnesota licensure required and BCLS/NRP certifications per policy.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Current Minnesota nursing licensure.
• BCLS certification within one month.
• NRP certification within one year.
• Preferred: at least one year of Labor and Delivery experience.
• FTE 0.6; Day/Night Rotation; 48 hours per pay period; shift times listed.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and provides nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon licensure and job descriptions.
• Contributes to Essentia Health's mission and goals and complies with regulatory requirements.
• Supports a patient-centered approach and collaborates with the Birthplace team to ensure quality outcomes.
