Job summary

The New Mexico Department of Health is seeking a Registered Nurse supervisor to provide management support to the Director of Nursing and direct supervision of a Nursing Neighborhood at a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, ensuring licensing and certification standards are met, maintaining accurate records, administering medications, and coordinating with the healthcare team to evaluate patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Must have current New Mexico RN license or eligibility, or temporary license for employment at a specific institution in NM.
• Two (2) years of management experience as it pertains to nursing care facilities.
• Employment is designated as safety sensitive with pre-employment and random testing.
• Subject to TB screening and nationwide criminal background check as per NM regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, coordinates and supervises long-term care services for residents.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications and monitor reactions or side effects.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to assess and evaluate care plans.
