Job summary

Farwell Care Center is seeking a Charge Nurse to supervise, coordinate, and deliver nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting in New Mexico. The role ensures adherence to facility policies and timely assessment of residents' care needs.

The ideal candidate holds RN or LVN licensure in Texas, has at least 1 year of nursing experience, and demonstrates strong supervisory skills and teamwork with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure as Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Texas is required.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care to residents.
• Ensure adequate staffing to meet residents' needs.
• Administer and document medications per physicians' orders.
• Communicate changes in residents' conditions to physicians and ADON/DON.
• Comply with federal, state and local regulations and facility policies.
• Participate in staff meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings.
