Job summary

Farwell Care Center is seeking a Charge Nurse to supervise, coordinate, and deliver nursing care in compliance with facility policies. You will assess residents' care needs and take appropriate action under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Nursing.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas RN or LVN licensure, and at least one year of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care. Equal opportunity employer; apply with confidence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State of Texas.
• One year experience as a nurse; long term care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement facility policies and procedures.
• Interpret policies and procedures to nursing assistants, restorative nursing assistants, residents, families and physicians.
• Supervise and evaluate direct resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
• Provide and document direct resident care, medications and treatments per physicians' orders and record all care provided.
• Counsel Nursing Assistants and recommend disciplinary action to the ADON or DON when needed.
