Job summary

SnapCare is seeking an RN for a 13-week assignment in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on bedside care, patient assessment, and coordination of discharge planning within an interdisciplinary team.

The position requires BLS and ACLS (where applicable) before the first shift, plus supervision of licensed and ancillary staff. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, documentation, and collaborative care planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of bedside clinical experience
• BLS certification required before first shift
• ACLS certification required before first shift (CIRH only)
• RN licensure and active state license preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to establish individualized care plans
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and/or orientees
• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned unit
• Provide patient information and status updates for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and begin patient teaching in anticipation of discharge
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to attending physicians and Charge Nurse
• Assume charge responsibility following orientation period as requested
