Job summary

SnapCare seeks an experienced RN to join our Atlantic City team on a 36-hour, day shift schedule. You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a New Jersey RN license, BLS, ACLS if CIRH, and at least two years of bedside clinical experience. You will supervise LPNs/CNAs and contribute to discharge planning and patient education.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license.
• BLS certification required before first shift.
• ACLS certification required before first shift for CIRH.
• Minimum two years bedside clinical experience.
• Day shift, 36-hour work week.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient assessments.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and/or orientees.
• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs on an assigned unit.
• Provide patient information and status updates for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and provide patient teaching in anticipation of discharge.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to attending physicians and Charge Nurses.
• Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.
• May assume charge responsibility following orientation period as requested.
