Job summary

Elite Nursing & Rehabilitation in Alabama is seeking an experienced RN or LPN Unit Manager to oversee daily nursing operations on an assigned unit within a skilled nursing and long-term care facility.

The ideal candidate will lead, organize, and supervise nursing staff, ensuring quality resident care, accurate documentation, and compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements. Strong clinical leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN or LPN license in the State of Alabama.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Prior supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure quality resident care on the assigned unit.
• Supervise, support, and provide guidance to nurses and CNAs.
• Conduct daily clinical rounds to identify resident needs and address concerns promptly.
• Review PCC dashboards daily to monitor vital signs, assessments, and clinical alerts.
• Ensure timely completion of nursing assessments, documentation, incident reports, and care plan updates.
• Monitor resident condition changes and coordinate physician and responsible-party notifications.
• Review admissions, readmissions, and transfers for complete orders and documentation.
• Monitor medication administration, treatments, labs, and follow-up care.
• Address falls, skin concerns, wounds, and other clinical issues with appropriate interventions.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, care plan conferences, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Assist with staff education, coaching, and accountability.
• Maintain survey readiness and CMS/state regulations compliance.
• Collaborate with DON, ADON, and interdisciplinary team.
