Job summary

Good Samaritan Pipestone seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process. The RN collaborates with residents, families and an inter-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate care across all phases of health maintenance and treatment.

The role may include charge nurse duties and delegation of tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff, within scope. State practice standards and licensure rules guide daily operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA preferred).
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license.
• Multistate licensure acceptable if in an NLC state.
• Maintains department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with residents, families and inter-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate care.
• Coordinate care, resident assessment and education; perform nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to staff within scope of practice.
• Adhere to Nurse Practice Act and state licensure rules.
