Job summary

Rosedale Health & Rehab in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced RN/LPN Unit Manager to lead a nursing unit, oversee daily clinical operations, and ensure compassionate resident care.

You will mentor nurses and CNAs, manage care plans, and ensure regulatory compliance while partnering with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to foster a culture of accountability and high-quality care. This is a full-time leadership role.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in Virginia.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and develop clinical team members.
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily clinical leadership and oversight for an assigned nursing unit.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and support nurses and CNAs.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure changes are communicated and addressed.
• Participate in resident assessments and care planning.
• Ensure physician orders, treatments, medications, and care plans are followed.
• Promote compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations and policies.
• Conduct clinical audits and assist with quality assurance initiatives.
• Partner with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, training, orientation, and development.
• Address clinical and operational concerns promptly and professionally.
• Promote infection prevention, resident safety, and quality standards.
• Foster accountability, teamwork, communication, and resident-centered care.
• Serve as a visible, hands-on leader and resource for the nursing team.
