Christie Clinic's Windsor clinic in Champaign, IL seeks a full-time RN or LPN for 1st shift or a flexible 4-10s schedule with no nights or weekends. Hybrid schedule may be available after training and competency milestones are met, within the Internal Medicine department.

Role focuses on providing professional nursing care to clinic patients, administering medications, and coordinating testing and patient education in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

• Evidence of annual completion of health-related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEUs.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and injections per nursing standards as directed by the provider.

• Prepare equipment and assist the provider during treatment, examination and testing.
• Observe and report patient condition and reaction to medications and treatment to the provider.

Job Details: Job Location: Windsor (LLC) - Champaign, IL 61822, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 2-Year Degree, Salary Range: $22.94 - $44.55 Hourly, Job Shift: 1st Shift, Job Category: Nursing, Christie Clinic's department of Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time RN or LPN at the Windsor clinic in Champaign from Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm or a flexible 4-10s schedule on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:30am-6:30pm, with no night or weekend requirements. This position will allow for a hybrid schedule once training is completed and competencies are met as outlined by the department.

Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.

Job Qualifications and Expectations: JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)

• Administer prescribed medications, treatments and injections in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.
• Instruct patients regarding the collection of samples and tests.
• Arrange for patient testing.
• Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.
• Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.
• Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.
• Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.
• Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment to ensure patients with emergency situations are given priority and documenting appropriately.
• Oversee patient scheduling to ensure patients in emergency situations are given priority.
• Send prescription refills in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications, testing, procedures, equipment, etc.
• Maintain work list from provider and follow up on labs, tests, reports, etc.
• Attend and participate in departmental huddles and any other meetings as necessary.
• Perform related work as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Evidence of annual completion of health-related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Professional nursing experience

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:

• Valid state license to practice nursing
• CPR Certification

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 75 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids and other waste common to a health care environment. Requirements may include working irregular hours.

PAY AND BENEFITS:

The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.

RN pay range: $32.40 to $44.55 USD

LPN pay range: $22.94 to $31.54 USD
