Job summary

John Knox Village of Central Florida in Orange City, FL is seeking an RN or LPN for full-time night shifts (3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am) to provide professional nursing care on an assigned unit, following policies and standards to ensure resident safety.

You will administer medications, supervise CNAs, participate in admissions and discharges, document changes, follow physician orders, and complete in-service trainings.

Qualifications

• Must pass Level 2 background screening through Florida Clearinghouse.
• Must be a licensed nurse in good standing with the state of Florida.
• Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform required physical tasks.
• Must maintain regular attendance and pass post-offer physical exam.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per physician orders and plan of care to ensure resident safety.
• Safely administer medications and treatments with infection control standards.
• Supervise CNA staff to ensure policy compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Oversee CNA assignments and ensure timely completion of duties.
• Assist residents and families with concerns and manage grievances.
• Assist with admissions and discharges, conduct assessments as needed.
• Observe changes in resident condition and inform physician; document events.
• Take and transcribe physician orders and participate in monthly reviews.
• Participate in required in-service education and competency evaluations.
• Assist during disasters if needed and manage after-hours responsibilities.
• Maintain a professional demeanor with residents, families, and staff.
