Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society in New Underwood, SD is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process. You will collaborate with residents, families, and an inter-disciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care across all phases of preventative and treatment care.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, resident assessment, education, and directing appropriate nursing interventions.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Current unencumbered RN license in the practicing state or multistate licensure in NLC state.
• Must obtain and maintain required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate care, resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed/unlicensed staff while ensuring safe, reliable care.
