Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Canton, SD is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process across all care stages. You will collaborate with residents, families and an inter-disciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care.

The role may include charge nurse duties and delegation to licensed and unlicensed staff, in accordance with nursing standards and state rules. PRN scheduling with varying shifts is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Unencumbered RN license in the practicing state; multi-state licensure if NLC.
• Maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process. (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) across all phases of care.
• Coordinate care with residents, families and inter-disciplinary team; may serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks.
