Job summary

Genesis is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Parkersburg, WV to provide high-quality patient care across a range of diagnoses. You will perform nursing assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians, families and the care team to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include setting measurable goals, coordinating care to minimize rehospitalizations, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, patients and families to develop care plans.
• Set realistic short- and long-term patient goals and monitor outcomes to minimize hospital readmissions.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate and supervise patient care tasks to staff to ensure proper execution.
• Communicate patient information across shifts and with the care team.
