Responsibilities

• Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data.
• Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes per nursing standards.
• Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions (IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, specimen collection).
• Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
• Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness and needs, and evaluates teaching effectiveness.
