Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledgeable of nursing & medical practices & procedures, laws and guidelines for nursing facilities.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Complete and file charting forms upon admission/transfer/discharge.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician.
• Develop and maintain rapport with inter-departmental staff to meet resident needs.
• Monitor safety and ensure privacy of resident information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
