Job summary

Lakeland Rehab and Healthcare Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. The RN will ensure adherence to federal, state, and local standards and collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain high-quality care.

Responsibilities include managing shift reports, administering medications, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• Current RO license as a Registered Nurse in good standing
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted
• Knowledge of nursing practices and regulations governing care facilities
• Current CPR certification is required
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing personnel and supervise nursing assistants
• Complete and file required admission, transfer, and discharge records
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and ensure privacy
• Receive and relay nursing reports during shift changes and rounds with physicians
• Ensure safety regulations for equipment and supplies are followed
• Perform other duties as assigned
