Job summary

Lake Bennet Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Ocoee, FL is seeking an experienced Staff Development Nurse / Risk Manager to lead QAPI initiatives and risk management activities. The role requires RN licensure, CPR certification, and prior long-term care leadership experience.

Responsibilities include QA, staff education, and regulatory compliance across the facility, with heavy emphasis on patient safety and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current CPR certification.
• Long-term care experience required.
• Working knowledge of PointClickCare preferred.
• Experience as a Nurse Manager or in a leadership role preferred.
• Experience and/or training in Staff Development and Risk Management strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QAPI programs and continuous quality improvement.
• Monitor facility trends related to clinical outcomes, incidents and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Track and analyze risk-related data to reduce liability and improve safety.
• Develop and implement risk prevention strategies and policies.
• Provide education and ongoing staff development.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, including EMR usage.
