Job summary

Fenton Healthcare Center in Fenton, MI is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee and coordinate resident care on assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with current standards and delivering the highest quality care.

The RN will supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, plan and direct work, adjust staffing as needed, and serve as a key resource for residents, families, and team members.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
