Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Burn Care Step Down unit in Livingston is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Patient Care (RN). This salaried evening role leads day-to-day nursing operations, supports staffing, quality, and safety initiatives, and partners with the Director to advance patient care.

You must have NJ RN license, BSN, BLS/ACLS, and IV certification, with at least 2 years ICU experience; burn care preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BSN required with ACLS, BLS, and IV certification.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience, burn care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for day-to-day nursing care and operations in Burn Care Step Down unit.
• Mentor and support Charge Nurses and bedside staff.
• Coordinate staffing based on patient acuity and budget guidelines.
• Monitor quality outcomes and safety metrics.
