Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ is seeking a Burn Technician for the evening shift. You will support nurses in burn care, perform hydrotherapy and wound care, and reinforce patient teaching to ensure safe, compassionate care.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma (or equivalent), a current American Heart Association BLS certification, and prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Healthcare experience preferred (e.g., Nurse’s Aide, Monitor Tech, EKG Tech, EMT).

Responsibilities

• Administer daily hydrotherapy and dressing changes for adult and pediatric burn patients.
• Perform wound care on designated consults and wound management cases.
• Assist Registered Nurses with patient care as assigned by Nurse Manager or Clinical Coordinator.
• Reinforce patient teaching initiated by Registered Nurses during wound care.
• Assess patient age-specific needs using growth and development principles.
