Job summary

Mariner Healthcare seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) RN to assist the Director of Nursing in planning and coordinating nursing care for residents in a long‑term care setting. You will help supervise staff, ensure high-quality patient care, and support regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include staffing, rounds, charting, QA, infection control, and staff development. Some patient care duties may be required, with the DoN's duties delegable in their absence.

Qualifications

• RN with experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing; management or supervisor experience preferred.
• Proficient in the use of a personal computer.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring nursing staff provides quality care meeting standards.
• Assist with recruitment, orientation, training, and staff retention.
• Assist scheduling and rounds to monitor nursing care quality and appropriateness.
• Maintain charting and documentation accuracy for care, meds, and treatments.
• Support quality assurance, infection control, and staff development as directed.
• Help develop and implement staffing plans and nursing schedules.
• Complete required forms per company policy and regulations.
• May perform patient care duties as needed.
• In the DoN's absence, duties may be delegated to this position.
