Job summary

Wellpath seeks an RN Lead to oversee nursing care in a correctional facility, ensuring adherence to state guidelines and company policies. You will supervise nursing and ancillary staff, review care plans, and coordinate cross‑department care, maintaining high standards and patient education.

The role requires attendance at institutional meetings, orientation support for new staff, and travel as needed within the facility setting. A BSN and active RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Prefer a minimum of one year of clinical experience.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs nursing care in the assigned unit and ensures compliance with state guidelines.
• Supervises nursing and ancillary staff with coaching and performance reviews.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and maintains unit standards.
• Leads orientation and training for new staff and supports ongoing education.
• Travels to required locations and participates in institutional meetings as needed.
