Job summary

Corewell Health in Grosse Pointe is seeking an experienced RN for the Family Birth Center/Women's Health Unit. The RN will provide comprehensive obstetric and postpartum care in a 11 LDRP room unit, with a Natural Birth Suite and 24/7 obstetrician/pediatric presence.

You will work night shifts (7 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), 36 hours per week, and contribute to patient-family centered care, education, and discharge planning in a Magnet-designated facility.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing Required
• Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years if new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year
• Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
• AHA, ARC, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• NRP within 6 months of hire/transfer
• EFM Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification within 1 year
• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
• Prefer 1 Year RN experience
• Highly Prefer L&D RN experience

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the framework of the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge care.
• Partner with patient/family input in planning plan of care and develop teaching strategies.
• Document education and learning appropriately in health records
