You will assess the laboring patient, monitor fetal well-being, and participate in neonatal stabilization and maternal recovery after delivery, whether vaginal or cesarean. You’ll guide the delivery team, promote bonding, and tailor patient education to family needs.

The role emphasizes strong English communication, teamwork, and ability to educate families about care plans in a fast-paced, compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse with the Texas State Board of Nursing.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required.
• Labor and Delivery experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assess and manage the laboring woman’s physical condition and progress.
• Stabilize the neonate immediately if needed.
• Support maternal recovery after delivery (vaginal or cesarean).
• Serve as circulating nurse for delivery and promote baby-friendly bonding.
• Assess learning needs and educate patient and family.
