vTech Solution is seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Montana to provide specialized OB care during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The role emphasizes safety, skilled assessments, and teamwork within a hospital setting, primarily on night shifts with on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities include monitoring maternal-fetal status, assisting with labor progression, administering medications, and educating patients and families on postpartum and newborn care.

Qualifications

• Montana RN license or qualifying compact license is required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in OB and Labor & Delivery nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications are required.
• Experience with electronic medical record documentation systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor fetal and maternal status, and manage labor progression.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide neonatal resuscitation as needed.

This role requires expertise in OB and Labor & Delivery nursing, ensuring patient safety and comfort through skilled assessments, interventions, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The nurse will work primarily night shifts with call responsibilities, delivering high-quality care in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor fetal and maternal status, and manage labor progression.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Special Considerations:

• On-call responsibilities with approximately 6-8 call shifts per 6-week schedule.
• Primarily night shifts with occasional day coverage.
• Work hours limited to no more than 4 shifts per week unless mutually agreed upon.
• No guaranteed block scheduling or consistent weekends off.

Scheduling:

• 36-48 hours per week.
• Primarily night shifts with some day shifts as needed.
• Call shifts integrated into the schedule on a rotating basis.
