Job summary

vTech Solution is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN in Colorado to provide specialized nursing care across labor and delivery, OR, PACU and postpartum units. You will manage couplet care for mother and newborn and support a high-volume birth environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Colorado RN license (or compact license), 2+ years of RN experience in L&D, BLS, ACLS, NRP and STABLE, with 12-hour night shifts, rotating weekends, and RN charge nurse experience.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado RN license or compact license to practice in Colorado.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably including labor and delivery.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in labor and delivery, postpartum, OR, and PACU environments.
• Manage couplet care for mother and newborn, including assessment and monitoring.
• Support and participate in approximately 60 to 80+ deliveries per month.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver evidence-based care.
• Serve as RN charge nurse when assigned, overseeing unit operations and staff coordination.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation according to hospital policies.
• Participate in call rotation and respond to emergent situations as required.

This role involves couplet care for mothers and babies, supporting deliveries typically of babies 32 weeks gestation and older. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver evidence-based, compassionate, and patient-centered care, ensuring a positive birth experience. The position requires clinical expertise, teamwork, and prior RN charge experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care in labor and delivery, postpartum, OR, and PACU environments.
• Manage couplet care for mother and newborn, including assessment and monitoring.
• Support and participate in approximately 60 to 80+ deliveries per month.

Special Considerations:

• Work involves 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends.
• Call rotation typically requires one 12-hour shift every six weeks, subject to change.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume labor and delivery environment.
• Limited Return to Office (RTO) requirements for travelers.
