Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery Unit at Sibley Memorial Hospital. The RN coordinates care during shifts, provides evidence-based nursing as part of a multidisciplinary team, and promotes quality and safety in patient care.

Qualifications include ADN with RN licensure, CPR upon hire, and a minimum of six months nursing experience; candidates with a BSN are preferred and may matriculate into a BSN program.

Unit/Role Info:

Labor & Delivery Unit(18 Labor beds, 8 triage beds and 3 ORs)

The Registered Nurse coordinates care for assigned patients on a shift to promote the achievement of clinical outcomes. Provides direction to other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care. Provides evidence-based practice care based on the nursing process policy, procedures, and protocols. Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team to optimize patient care outcomes. Participates and promotes quality clinical improvement by supporting standards within a given care setting. Practices and promotes responsible cost effective use of resources. Completes all identified annual requirements and competencies for the patient population, care setting, department, and institution. Participates in the performance appraisal process. Demonstrates organizations core values on a consistent basis.

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in nursing (ADN) (Required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Preferred) and
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a Bachelor of Nursing program
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required)
• CPR - Basic CPR Upon Hire (Required)
• Minimum six (6) months of nursing experience required

Salary Range:

Minimum $43.25/hour - Maximum $67.04/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
