Job summary

Dignity Health at California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care and drive optimal patient outcomes. You will assess, plan, implement and document care within an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Required CA RN license, 1 year L&D experience, BLS/ACLS/NRP, and 90-day fire safety readiness. BSN preferred; 1–3 years acute care experience is also desirable.

• Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
• Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
• Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
• Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
• Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.
• Precept/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments

Job Requirements

Required

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California
• One year of Labor & Delivery experience
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Fire Safety, within 90 Days of hire

Preferred

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing
• One to three years of acute care experience
