Dignity Health – Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center in Glendale, CA seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in labour and delivery, perform assessments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery.

Requires 6 months acute care in labour and delivery, BLS/ACLS/NRP, basic fetal monitoring, and a California RN license; Bachelor of Nursing and 1 year acute care experience are preferred.

  • Provides effective, comprehensive, evidence‑based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes. Organises and prioritises patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient. Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure a comprehensive, holistic and effective plan of care. Applies knowledge of current practice standards, guidelines, statutes, rules and regulations. Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behaviour and supports ethical practice by addressing or escalating issues. Serves as a patient advocate.
  • Completes patient assessments competently. Assesses for and identifies needs of unit‑specific patient population: physical, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, discharge and cultural needs.
  • Completes an individualised plan of care based on assessment. Coordinates with other disciplines. Prioritises care needs and sets measurable goals and time frames. Includes patient and family in the planning.
  • Implements interventions based on nursing and medical plan of care. Manages patient population, diagnosis and age‑specific needs through appropriate adaptation of interventions. Appropriately utilises equipment and supplies (including following established policies, procedures and protocols governing the transport, handling and storage of intravenous fluids).
  • After implementation, reassesses the patient to verify effectiveness of interventions. Updates the plan of care to reflect current care needs.
  • Demonstrates the ability to recognise and adapt to changes in patients' condition (e.g., LOC change, vital signs, test results) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
Job Requirements
  • 6 months acute care experience in labour and delivery required.
  • AHA BLS & ACLS & NRP required.
  • Basic fetal monitoring required.
  • Current California licence as a Registered Nurse.

Preferred

  • Bachelor of Nursing, upon hire.
  • One year acute care experience preferred.

Pay Range

$82.78 – $82.78 per hour.
