Job summary

Dignity Health - Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, CA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery/Post Partum/Newborn Nursery to deliver high-quality, patient‑centered care.

You will assess patients, perform skilled procedures, implement and adjust care plans, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes. Bonus sign‑on offered to eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year RN experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, or Newborn Nursery.
• Fetal monitoring experience for L&D/antepartum positions.
• CA RN license.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• NRP certification (AHA) within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs total body and system assessments each shift according to unit standards.
• Plan, implement, evaluate and educate patient care.
• Utilizes unit-specific procedures, protocols and interventions.
• Document accurately in the computerized system.

• Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
• Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
• Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
• Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
• Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.
• Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments.

We are offering a $15,000 Sign-on Bonus to new hires who meet the eligbility requirements.
