Responsibilities

• Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
• Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures.
• Leadership: Accepts responsibility and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.
• Precept/Mentoring: Mentors students and supports staff across departments.

• Precept/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments.

This is a fellowship position

This program is a structured learning environment for nurses new to the Labor and Delivery specialty.

• Job Requirements Required
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California
• One year of acute care nursing experience
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Fire Safety, within 90 Days of hire

Preferred

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing
• One to three years of acute care experience
