Description:First-time Labor and Delivery RNs are encouraged to apply.This position may require floating between units based on needs.On-call duties may arise during low census periods.Every other weekend coverage is required.Block scheduling is not necessary.Patient care will adhere to AWHONN patient ratios.This is a short-term acute care facility with 108 staff beds.All nursing and allied staff may wear any color scrubs; departmental scrubs will be provided as needed.The unit provides full-spectrum care including triage, antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery services.Patients served are typically 36 weeks gestation and above.The unit incorporates interdisciplinary support, including IV teams and social services.Experience with Cesarean sections, external fetal monitoring, and sterile procedures is essential.Candidates should have skills in recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.This role involves caring for a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, and adults.Weekend coverage will be mandatory, with three out of five major holidays also expected.This position does not approve for 48 hours.Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of the assignment.References covering one year of experience within the last three years are required.Candidates must request all time-off upfront during the submission process.
