• Specialty certification Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) preferred; complete AWHONN course within 1 year or documentation.

Responsibilities

Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN is responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice. Important aspects of this responsibility are the promotion of a safe and therapeutic environment for both the recipients and providers of nursing care; acquisition of specialized knowledge skills and additional formal education to provide specialized care; demonstration and validation of competence in nursing practice; clinical practice consistent with the policies, procedures and standards of this facility; and supervision of other staff as designated within the department.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• (RN) Registered Nurse


• Neonate Resuscitate, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date


• PALS preferred within 6 months


• Texas State RN license or compact license required.


• ADN required; BSN preferred


• Specialty Certification Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) is preferred. Must successfully complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course within 1 year of hire or provide documentation of completion of the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course or the AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course.


• 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience preferred
