Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean-related care in high-risk unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment Skills: Deliver patient care across all growth stages from Pediatric to Geriatric, performing thorough and accurate assessments.
• Clinical Skills: Provide direct patient care and demonstrate proficiency in emergency equipment and procedures.
• Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate patient records, documenting the nursing process and patient progress.
• Professionalism: Adhere to policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality as per HIPPA guidelines.
• Patient Satisfaction: Respond to patients and families courteously, fostering a patient-centered environment.
• Safety: Follow National Patient Safety Goals and use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Unit Specific Functions: Tailor patient care for surgical procedures and assess patient understanding and reactions.
• Responsibility and Accountability: Prioritize patient care based on needs and condition changes.
• Patient Education: Conduct pre-operative and postoperative assessments and education.
• Duties Specific to PAT RN: Ensure timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing orders.
