Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in New Jersey with high-risk pregnancy experience and an active NJ (or compact) RN license. BLS/ACLS certs required, and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is essential.

The role is in a large hospital setting, focusing on high-risk obstetric care. Shifts are 12 hours (7a-7p), with 36 hours weekly, and no on-call duties. Local candidates only; Epic EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

Active NJ or compact RN license required.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience with high-risk pregnancies in large hospital settings required.
Epic EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Work in the Delivery Room unit of a large hospital facility.
High-risk labor and delivery patient population with high patient census.
Uses Epic for charting.
AM shift schedule, 7a-7p, 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week).
No on-call responsibilities.
May float to a sister hospital nearby.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric.
Deliver direct patient care and demonstrate competency with emergency equipment and procedures.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation of the nursing process and patient progress.
Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and safe patient handling techniques.
Provide patient and family education, including pre-operative and post-operative instruction as applicable.
Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and professional, courteous interactions with patients and families.
Accepts local candidates.
No approved RTO during the assignment.
