Description:This position is in a Level III Trauma Center.The unit has 8 LDRP/Antepartum beds.The average patient census is variable.Patient ratios include 1:1 for laboring patients and 1:3 for couplets/antepartum/surgical cases.The role includes performing non-stress tests and triage assessments.The qualified candidate will have experience in postpartum and newborn care.RNs will have support from Charge RNs who take patients as needed.The department has resources available for assistance.OB physicians have a 30-minute call back time.The facility uses an electronic medical record system.Technology includes IV pump and medication dispensing systems.RNs may float to inpatient units in a sitters or CNA role if needed.Weekend rotation requires working every other weekend.On-call requirements vary based on the contract.Holiday requests can be approved for up to 7 days.Scrub color is flexible.
