Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for Labor & Delivery on a 13-week assignment in Michigan. The shift is from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, with 12-hour shifts and weekend rotation. Requires current State of Michigan nursing licensure, BLS and NRP certifications, and postpartum/delivery cross-training.

Responsibilities include leading care coordination, applying the nursing process, and communicating with patients, families, and hospital staff. Clinical judgment and effective teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Cross-trained in postpartum and delivery.
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate nursing care plans.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
  • Effective communication with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
  • Apply nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to care and teaching.
  • Communicate pertinent patient information to the health care team.
  • Contribute to solving variances from patient goals and implement solutions.
  • Manage patient-to-nurse ratios (1:2 or 1:1 in labor, 1:3 or 1:4 in postpartum).
  • Schedule is 7 pm to 7:30 am, with every other weekend.
