Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery in Missouri to support antepartum and intrapartum care. The 13-week assignment requires a night shift (3x12-hour) with 12-hour shifts and 7–10 patient census expectations.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of nursing experience in L&D, is comfortable with fetal monitoring and postpartum care, and holds BLS, FHM, and NRPS certifications. Pending licensure is acceptable for this role.

• LDRP experience preferred; LD/LDR experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fetal heart rates and assess fetal status.
• Administer medications and perform postpartum and labor assessments.

• Assist with breastfeeding support and postpartum care.
• Float to postpartum as needed and collaborate with care team.

Description:The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide care for antepartum and intrapartum patients.The nurse will work in a unit that houses both labor and delivery as well as postpartum patients.This unit includes labor rooms and triage rooms.The nurse will follow staffing guidelines based on patient acuity.On average, the nurse will manage a daily census of 7-10 patients.The standard nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:1, but can be adjusted based on specific patient needs.The nurse will assist with various clinical procedures associated with labor and delivery.They will be expected to support mothers with breastfeeding and other postpartum care.The role includes responsibilities such as monitoring fetal heart rates, administering medications, and performing assessments.The nurse will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimum patient care.The nurse may also float to the postpartum unit to provide couplet care or care for postpartum patients only.Additional responsibilities may include providing education and support to families regarding childbirth and newborn care.The nurse will be required to work a minimum number of weekend shifts according to the established schedule.The role requires collaboration and communication with the care team to deliver high-quality care.
