Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery in High Point, NC. This 13-week night shift assignment requires at least 2 years of L&D experience and an active RN license with BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FHM certifications.

The unit supports labor, delivery, and newborn care with EPIC EMR; patient ratios follow AWHONN standards of 1:1 and 1:2 with on-site ICU resources. The ideal candidate will contribute to a teaching hospital environment, deliver skilled perinatal care, and collaborate

Qualifications

• RN license and current BLS/ACLS/NRP/FHM certifications are required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Experience caring for mother and baby and delivery of baby.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for laboring patients and newborns.
• Assist with fetal monitoring and medications as ordered.
• Document patient care and medication administration in EPIC EMR.
• Collaborate with charge nurse, surgical tech and multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

Description:We are seeking a qualified RN for the Labor & Delivery unit.The facility has a total of 351 licensed beds.It is a teaching hospital with no trauma designation.The unit consists of 10 beds.Patient types include labor, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and hypertension.Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards of 1:1 and 1:2.A surgical tech will be available on the unit.Our team includes a charge nurse who may or may not be part of staffing.Phlebotomy services are available.An IV/VAT team is not available.A resource nurse is not applicable.Respiratory therapy is available 24/7.Intensivist services are on-site 24/7 if needed.Fetal monitoring is conducted on the unit.The facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical record system.IV pumps are made by Baxter.Medication dispensing is managed by Omnicell.Fetal heart monitors are provided by GE.Unit-specific equipment includes Novii, Neptune, Bovie, and Panda warmers.There is no floating to other units.Scrubs are provided for use in the unit.The unit culture is described as strong.
