Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for Labor & Delivery in Augusta, GA. This 13-week contract role is day shift (12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM) with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements include an RN license (single state or compact), BLS/NRP/ACLS certifications, and English proficiency. Strong teamwork, time management, and critical thinking are essential. Minimum experience is less than 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate safe, quality patient care and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Support protocol development and staff training as needed.

Description:The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of caregivers.They ensure that patients receive individualized, high-quality, safe care.The RN practices in a clinical environment supported through a shared governance model.The framework for practice is guided by evidence-based practice and research.All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by relevant professional standards and implement ethical codes of conduct.As a member of the patient services team, the RN upholds the voice of the patient while supporting service excellence goals.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:The RN performs the Nursing Process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.They utilize evidence-based practice and analytical thinking to ensure individualized care.Relationship-based patient-centered care is provided, considering population-specific characteristics.The RN collaborates with patients and families, keeping them updated and making their goals the focus of care.Current clinical practice standards are adhered to in all nursing activities.

Teamwork and Collaboration:The RN coordinates safe, quality patient care and documentation.They promote inclusive communication methods and maintain a respectful clinical environment.Teamwork is demonstrated by practicing fiscally responsible actions and supporting healthcare team recruitment and retention.

Professional Development and Initiative:The RN completes ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education.They may serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure a qualified workforce.

Evidence-Based Practice and Research:The RN promotes evidence-based practice and participates in performance improvement activities.They uphold all relevant organizational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety goals and standards.

Resources and Support:The RN proactively plans care for patients across the continuum.They participate in developing protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes.Efficient use of human and material resources is supported.

The RN may perform other duties as assigned and must comply with all relevant policies and standards.
