Optim Healthcare in Reidsville, GA seeks an RN Total Joint and Spine Educator to lead the Joint Program development and coordinate with Quality, Nursing, Surgery, and Physical Therapy to meet surgical improvement goals.

The role involves educating staff and patients, developing policies, and leading community outreach to advance the Joint Replacement and Spine program. Must have RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

Possession of a valid state license as a registered nurse.
Basic Life Support, ACLS and PALS certifications.
Ability to develop policies and procedures.
Creativity to develop education tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to teach and evaluate clinical staff performance.
Ability to teach patients and families and assess information retention.

Responsabilités

Develop an education tool for patients/families through discussion and materials.
Assess patient/family knowledge of surgical procedure and recovery.
Develop tools to address knowledge deficits.
Provide and develop education/orientation for hospital staff on joints.
Work with committees to standardize orders for Preop testing and Postop care.
Collaborate with surgeons and staff to improve patient care and program.
