Job summary

Resurgens Surgery Center in Atlanta is seeking a Total Joint Coordinator to manage the full care pathway for total joint patients, coordinating care before, during, and after surgery and serving as a liaison across the multidisciplinary team.

The role involves data collection and reporting of clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction, working with surgeons, anesthesiologists, Pre-op, PACU, OR staff, PT, ASC leadership, and the surgeon's office.

Qualifications

• Current GA Nursing License.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS (required).
• ACLS (required).
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in ASC setting.
• Passionate about patient education.
• Clinical expertise to apply sound judgment for optimal patient care.
• Strong communication to instruct patients, family and staff.
• Self-directed with strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer literacy skills.
• Supports changes in work assignment per schedule and patient needs.
• Ability to participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Knowledge of utilization review, care coordination, transfer and discharge planning.
• Team player with professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the entire care pathway for total joint patients.
• Facilitate care for patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeon, anesthesiologist, Pre-op, PACU, OR staff, PT provider, ASC leadership, and surgeon's office.
• Participate in data collection and reporting of outcomes and patient satisfaction.
