Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology. The role involves direct patient care using the nursing process, coordinating care with other departments, and upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

Full-time, day shift with evenings/nights/weekends on call as needed. Qualifications include graduation from an approved nursing program (ASN, Diploma, or BSN), current RN license (state/compact), and BLS—ACLS as required.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous IR and/or related procedural nursing experience preferred.
• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS as needed.

Department: Interventional Radiology

Status: Full-Time - 40 hours/week

Shift: Days (Additional call hours may be required including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.)

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous IR and/or related procedural nursing experience preferred.

• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications including ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required.

• Other:Physical requirements/demands:

  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.

  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
