Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology to deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.

This full-time day shift includes potential call hours; Mercy offers up to $10k sign-on, tuition support, and bridging programs to support RN education and career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous IR and/or related procedural nursing experience preferred.
• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Active RN license in hiring state and/ or compact licensure.
• Certifications: BLS; ACLS as required.
• Physical requirements: Push/pull/lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing/walking; bending/kneeling/twisting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: Interventional Radiology

Status: Full-Time - 40 hours/week

Shift: Days (Additional call hours may be required including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.)

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous IR and/or related procedural nursing experience preferred.
• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications including ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required.
• Other: Physical requirements/demands:
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
